Are YOU interested in doing an ECEN 4010 or ECEN 5070 Directed Study course related to Information Security and Testing? To help you answer that question please inspect the Generic ECEN 4010 Directed Study Plan for ISTR projects.

Notice that some of folks are kept on the ISTR email list just for information purposes.  Let us know if you no longer wish to receive our email or if you want your email address changed. Not everyone will make it to the all of the meetings.  However, we are keeping all of them informed in case one of them is interested in a particular topic.

Current active projects:
-Voice Authentication Method Evaluation: This project defines a method to identify and utilize evaluation metrics for different voice authentication systems. Block diagram for Voice Authentication Evaluation.
-Logic testing for processor design using Verilog (fault injection, circuit comparison, and fault dictionaries).
-Location determination via Commercial Radio:  This project demonstrates the ability find one's location via a spectral analysis match with the various broadcast commercial radio stations.
-USB testing device: This project will design and implement a processor based device that can test a USB device connection without interfereing with the computer connection to the USB device.
Previous and potential projects:
-USB hashing tool - this project is a straightforward implementation of a LFSR that creates a hash from bytes sent to the devices USB connection.
-USB snooping device: This project will design and implement a processor based device that can snoop a USB connect to either test the USB line or to EVEsdrop on the USB line.
-Collaboration with OSU-Okmulgee for security certification.
-LFSR as a hash for ZKP authentication:  This project demonstrates characteristics of Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs) that make them suitable as a hardware implementation for Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) authentication hash function.
Simple logic tester controlled via USB port.
-Spectral identification: determine the light components present. The Schematic and Board layout for the Spectral identification circuit.
- Security Evaluation Platform: This project is creating a USB based security device that allows a variety of identity verification and digital signature schemes to be implemented.
-Voice Identification: This project is evaluating the characteristics of the human voice that will lead to authentication of identity via the biometric of digitized talking. Block diagram for Voice Authentication.
