Cadence - Evaluation version - no cost (OrCAD
PCB Designer Lite DVD /
Download - Fill in some personal info and the download will be
enabled via your email - this can legally be copied by anyone, but
has limitations in circuit size and function. Note that
it is 1GB file - you can request a DVD by mail,
but there may be a charge. The FREE download might take an
hour.)

or you can try downloading the Cadence zip file from here: Download (1Hr?)
Unzip ("Extract All"),
then run the program "setup.exe" in the extracted root directory
of: "16.6_OrCAD_Lite_All_Products\Lite Full\Disk1".
During the setup specify the installation
path/folder (i.e., C:\ or maybe C:\Program Files\, etc.).

(Note that much
of the information applies to using earlier versions.)
Derive (last version was 6.1). Derive is a very
intuitive and easy to use symbolic math program - a similar
programming capability is included in the student version of
MatLab, but it is not as intuitive) - Discontinued by TI - Some
'Free' downloads of Derive 6 and 6.1 are available online.
