Bio

Mayra Almodóvar is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University. Her research focuses on the use of the arts to enrich the learning experiences of our young children. She has provided consultation and in-services on young children's education, children's play and family and community integration for child care facilities. She received her Ed. D. in Family and Child Studies from the University of Massachusetts and taught at the Universidad del Este in Puerto Rico for nine years.
