Jennifer L. Jones, Ph.D., is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University. Her research focus includes factors that contribute to the risk and resilience of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families. Dr. Jones’ current research activities include the self-development (e.g., global self-worth and self-determination) of adolescents with IDD, along with parent and teacher perspectives on inclusion in early childhood education centers. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Jones worked in several non-profit organizations to improve the quality of life for persons with IDD. She has provided consultation and in-services on Inclusion Practices for Child Care Facilities, Communication Strategies for Preschoolers with Developmental Delays, and Promoting Self-Determination among Adolescents with IDD.
