Human Development and Family Science - Early Childhood Education (ECE)

As the premier early childhood professional education program in Oklahoma, OSU students learn to meet the educational and developmental needs of young children. A career in ECE provides opportunities to touch the lives of hundreds of children. The Center for Early Childhood Teaching and Learning includes the Early Childhood Resource Center, the Child Development Laboratory, and the model teaching classroom. The Center for Early Childhood Teaching and Learning provides an environment of innovative instruction and resources for students, research facilities and educational programming for children from birth through age eight. The Early Childhood Resource Center supplies students and graduates of the program developmentally appropriate materials for use in their field experiences and teaching to help in the preparation for rewarding careers in developmentally appropriate practices. Faculty members are nationally recognized and have been the recipients of numerous awards.
