Collection Development-Faculty

You are invited to participate in developing the OSU-Tulsa Library Collection.

Please help us identify gaps in the collection based on the courses you will be teaching in Tulsa. You can consult with the Library Liaison for your Program. A list of these Liaisons can be found below.

From our Library Homepage you can see what we already own. Explore the OSU-Tulsa Online Catalog for books, journals, dvds / videos, etc. in your academic subject area.

We also have access to thousands of full-text electronic journals. Search by journal title or browse by subject to determine what we own.

The Library will gladly order the materials needed for your teaching and research. You can request the purchase of books, videos, journals, and databases online from the Library Homepage. Go to Purchase Request. Purchase Request Forms are also available in print at the Library. Return these to your Library Liaison or Lynn Wallace, Collection Development Librarian. Note on the form if you would like the material placed on Reserve. Please allow two months for delivery when requesting materials for specific courses.

You will be notified when the material has been ordered and again when it is available for use. After it is ready, materials not placed on Reserve will be held for you at the Circulation Desk for 2 weeks.

It would be very helpful to have your course syllabi and any reading lists you require your students to use. Please send these to your Library Liaison or Lynn Wallace in advance of the semester so materials can be purchased and processed in time for the start of classes.
