What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary loan is responsible for borrowing books and obtaining photocopies of articles from journal titles that are not available at the OSU-Tulsa Library.

Photocopies of journal articles may be obtained from a network of libraries across the country. Many are faxed or
sent via the Internet within 48 hours. Some items from rare journals or remote libraries may take longer. Articles are provided to qualified users free of charge.  

Books and some dissertations may be borrowed for a limited period of time. Many are sent via courier and arrive
within 3 working days. Some items from more remote libraries may take longer. Book loans are free of charge to
qualified users.  

Who can use Interlibrary Loan?  

Interlibrary Loan services are provided for the following qualified users with current O-Key / LionKey email address and passwords: OSU-Tulsa students, faculty and staff as well as LU-Tulsa Nursing students, faculty and staff. Community Borrowers and other members of the public DO NOT have interlibrary loan privileges.

How do I use Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary loan materials are requested through the ILLIAD integrated interlibrary loan system. Register one time at https://illiad.library.okstate.edu/illiad/OTU/logon.html with a current and valid OSU O-Key email address and password. After registering you can also make requests directly through WorldCat, FirstSearch and some EbscoHost database products.
