BOOKS

Books, videos, and dvds can be found in the OSU-Tulsa Library Catalog by author, title, keyword, or subject heading. Keyword searching allows you to AND terms together to produce a more focused list of available books.

You may want to check the Library of Congress Subject Headings
Reference Z695 .Z8 L524 for a comprehensive list of terms to search in the Online Catalog.

Once you have identified a book you want, note the location and entire call number to identify where the book is located in the Library.

We also have approximately
40,000 full-text electronic books. These can be found through the Catalog or by going to the Library Website and clicking on Books and Electronic Book Collections. To view NetLibrary Ebooks remotely, you must set up an account in the Library.

DATABASES
A full-text database provides full-text access to periodical, journal, and magazine articles. In most case all you need to do is print out the article. From the Library Webpage, click on Journals and then click on General or a Broad Subject. Each database is designed so that you can usually search by keyword, subject, author, title or article, and/or title or the periodical. You also can limit by date as well as other parameters.

An index database provides a citation to the article, i.e. title of article, author, journal title, volume and issue number, page number, and date. You should check other databases for possible full-text coverage. You may need to consult the Catalog or Journals by Title to determine if the journal is owned by OSU-Tulsa Library in paper or microfiche.
