Articles

  • Search our online catalog for the journal, magazine or newspaper title to be sure that we do not already own it. Be sure to consult our list of electronic journals for full-text, online articles. Requests for items available in the Library will be submitted to Document Delivery and filled there.
  • If searching on WorldCat or Ebsco databases click on the option for requesting Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or logon to OSU-Tulsa's ILLIAD.
  • Select the appropriate form for the type of item you wish (e.g. journal article, book, dissertation).
  • Complete the form with as much information as you have.
  • Complete only one form for each individual item. Do not request more than one article on the same form.
  • You will be notified by email when your article arrives. The email will contain a link to your ILLIAD account. Sign in with your OKEY username and password and retrieve your article by clicking on “Electronically Received Articles” from the menu on the left.
  • Requests of multiple articles from the same journal issue may be in violation of the copyright law and may not be filled.
  • Most libraries will not lend entire journal volumes or copy large sections of a journal issue.
  • You will be notified by e-mail when your article arrives. The article will be posted on ILLIAD. Your notification email will provide a link to the article that will be valid for 90 days. If you would rather pick up your articles at the Library, you may indicate this within your ILLIAD registration.

Books

  • Search the Library's catalog for the title. Requests for items available in the Library will be submitted to Document Delivery and filled there.
  • If searching on WorldCat or Ebsco databases click on the option for requesting Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or logon to OSU-Tulsa's ILLIAD:
  • Select the appropriate form for the type of item you wish (e.g. journal article, book, dissertation).
  • Complete the form with as much information as you have.
  • Most libraries will not lend reference works, items on reserve, rare or fragile books, audio-visual materials (including videos, DVDs and audio tapes) or new books.
  • OSU-Tulsa students are responsible for purchasing required texts for their classes. Libraries generally do not keep current copies of textbooks. Therefore students are strongly discouraged from requesting classroom textbooks through ILL.
  • OSU-Tulsa subscribes to Proquest Dissertations and Theses online. If dissertations and masters theses are loaned, they are sometimes supplied in microform.
  • All due dates are set by the lending library. The usual check out term is about one month.
  • Renewals are sometimes granted. You may request renewals by contacting the OSU-Tulsa Library ILL office by e-mail or phone message three days in advance of the due date.
  • ILL books must be picked up and returned at the OSU-Tulsa Circulation Desk. OSU-Tulsa Interlibrary Loan office will not mail interlibrary loaned books to home addresses.
  • ILL books will be checked out to your library record with the due date given by the lending library. Please notify the ILL office if you no longer need the item or cannot pick it up.
  • Please return ILL books on time. These books are the property of another library and may be recalled for their students at any time. Because of this, overdue books are assessed a fine of $.25 per day.
  • Chronically overdue items may result in the suspension of lending privileges from other institutions and the loss of a valuable resource for all of our students
