Looking for Journal Articles and Finding Full-Text Documents

A. The Journal Research Process:
Tips:
1. Proceed to Database by Subject or Databases & e-resources A - Z
2. Select appropriate database(s)
3. Search by Subjects (if available) and / or keyword(s) and phrases Use pull down menus for [SU]  Subject
4. Evaluate search and refine search if necessary by:
changing search terms or adding additional words
using wildcards ( asterisk * ) comput* searches computer, computers, computerized, etc.
     searching within full text of article use pull down menu "TX All Text"  or  "Document Text"
     Refine Search with tab in Ebsco databases peer reviewed or refereed journals, document types, date ranges, etc.
B. Finding Full Text Documents For Article Citations:
 (steps 1 – 4 can be completed at the library homepage)
1. If full text (Html or Pdf) is available print, email, download (to PC or jump drive or student H:\ drive )
2. Full text not in this database? Consult Journal Titles A - Z list for alternative databases with full text
3. No electronic version ? Catalog for journal title in print or microfiche
4. Journal NOT at OSU Tulsa ? Order article or book via Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
