How does it work?
OSU-Tulsa Learning Services Center ServicesTutorialsOur one-on-one, 50 minute tutorial is one of our primary services. During the tutorial, you will meet with a trained and experienced math tutor who will assist you with your particular math needs. You can meet with the tutor for the entire 50 minutes, or you can come in and work on your problems independently with the tutor available to answer questions. If you are having difficulty, you may want to schedule multiple appointments to ensure a tutor is available for you when you need to come in. Courses that students commonly seek help in are linear algebra, calculus, and statistics. Our math tutors may, however, be able to help in other courses with math components. Please be aware that it is our policy not to work problems for students but rather teach students techniques for solving problems themselves. Emergency Calculator Loan Program To assist students with their courses, the Learning Services Center offers a calculator checkout program where students can borrow a calculator on loan. If you wish to obtain additional information about this program, call 918-594-8232 or stop by North Hall 103 to speak with a staff member. Calculators available in this program include the TI-83 Plus (graphing), HP 10BII (financial), and TI-1706SV (standard). In order to check out one of the calculators, the following requirements must be met:
