Oklahoma State University - Tulsa
MBA Professional Program (Tulsa and Distance)Master of Business Administration (MBA) Professional degree program is a 36-credit hour program. Students qualifying for this program must have an undergraduate degree in business from an accredited university and must have a minimum of 3 years substantive management work experience. Students with significant work experience beyond 3 years that do not have an undergraduate degree in business may also be considered for this program. The Graduate Studies Committee will review and make an admissions recommendation on these applicants on a case-by-case basis. Each applicant to the program must have his/her immediate supervisor provide a letter of recommendation outlining the specific job duties/responsibilities of the applicant. Applications must also submit in writing a purpose statement that includes the reason they believe they are qualified for this program. Upon admission to the program but prior to enrollment, each student will submit a plan of study for review by the Graduate Studies Committee. The submitted plan of study will indicate which 3 classes the student intends to waive from the MBA core. The Graduate Studies Committee will either approve or disapprove of the intended waivers based on the student's undergraduate background and/or work experience. Students whose initial waiver requests are denied will be advised by the MBA office which 3 classes are eligible for waiver based on a recommendation from the Graduate Studies Committee.
