Flags for the Fallen

OSU-Tulsa will honor those who have lost lives in the global war on terrorism by planting more than 1,700 American flags on a campus hillside beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6.

Each flag will represent four U.S. service members who gave their lives in military action in the global war on terrorism. The university will provide small flags for the memorial and placement will continue until all flags are planted. Students are encouraged to stop by and participate.

'Flags for the Fallen' will be located adjacent to North Hall on the north side of John Hope Franklin Boulevard near the intersection with Greenwood Avenue. The display will continue over the Veterans Day weekend through Monday, Nov. 13.

The public is invited to drive through campus to view the flags or park in Lot D and view from the sidewalk. Campus parking is free.

For any questions or for more information, please contact JJ Smith, Assistant Director of Student Services, at jj.smith@okstate.edu or 918-594-8450.
