Tuesday, April 07, 2009Strongman Competition to Find Strongest Campus FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETULSA – Are you the strongest person on campus?
Students, faculty and staff from Oklahoma State University-Tulsa, the OSU Center for Health Sciences and Tulsa Community College can test their strength at the Collegiate Strongman Competition on Saturday, April 18.
The event begins at 12 p.m. at the Jenks Riverwalk Crossing, at 300 Riverwalk Terrace in Jenks.
Angelyn Holmes, OSU-Tulsa campus life and wellness coordinator, said the competition is a great way to build camaraderie between the schools and have fun while exercising.
“This is a fun and exciting competition that will test your physical power, strength and endurance like never before,” Holmes said. “Plus, we always have a great time getting together with other Tulsa-area colleges and universalities for a friendly competition.”
The Strongman Competition tests the limits of participant’s strength, endurance and power by challenging them to lift, flip, pull and tug large, unusual objects, such as tires, kegs, yolks and sleds.
