Rep. Fallin to Host Congressional Energy Hearing at OSU-Tulsa FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TULSA – U.S. Representative Mary Fallin, R-Oklahoma City, will host a congressional field hearing tomorrow at OSU-Tulsa that will examine how national energy policy affects small businesses. ![]() The subcommittee’s goal is to explore how small businesses are affected by the rising costs of energy and how national energy policy can help small businesses in the manufacturing or construction industry. Possible topics of discussion for the field hearing include “cap-and-trade” energy legislation; energy independence and U.S. energy production; Environmental Protection Agency regulations related to small businesses; and other energy policy that affects small businesses, both in the energy sector and outside the energy sector. Witnesses scheduled to appear include David House of Jireh Resources; Bob Sullivan of Sullivan & Co.; Larry Mocha of Air Power Systems Co.; Joe Robson of Robson Co., and the chairman of the National Association of Home Builders; Mike Terry, president of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association; and Mike Bergey of Bergey Windpower Co.
