TULSA – Oklahoma State University-Tulsa has announced officers for the OSU-Tulsa Board of Trustees for the 2010 fiscal year.

Ed Keller, chairman of Summit Bank, will serve as chair. In addition, Larry Mocha, president and CEO of Tulsa-based Apsco Inc., will serve as vice chair; and Glenda Love, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House, will serve as secretary.

Other Trustees include Calvin Anthony, pharmacist, businessman, and chair of the OSU/A&M Board of Regents; Betty Boyd, former legislator and journalist, and vice chair of Tulsa Tech’s Board of Education; Jim Goodwin, attorney and newspaper publisher; Jay Helm, real estate developer and OSU/A&M Regent; Michael Johnson, president and chief executive officer of J&A Group and retired Williams executive; and Henry Primeaux, president of Primeaux Kia.

The membership of the OSU-Tulsa Board of Trustees is made up of nine people appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. Two of the nine are OSU/A&M Regents. Appointed by the Governor for a term of seven years, the Trustees oversee the university’s operations.

Also at their meeting yesterday, the Trustees approved designs for the new Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) Tulsa studio, giving the statewide public television network approval to begin construction at OSU-Tulsa later this fall.

OETA has secured private and public funding to build the nearly 11,000 square-foot facility on the east side of the OSU-Tulsa campus.

The University Center at Tulsa Trust Authority, who will lease the land to OETA, approved the design plans in August. OSU-Tulsa officials said the facility will incorporate the same type of architecture as the other buildings on OSU-Tulsa’s campus, with PSA-Dewberry serving as the architect for the project.

OETA plans to break ground on the new studio at OSU-Tulsa in October.
