Monday, September 14, 2009German Ambassador to Visit OSU-Tulsa TuesdayFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETULSA – German Ambassador Klaus Scharioth will discuss topics such as the global economy and the cultural climate during “Transatlantic Relations” tomorrow at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa.
The sold-out event, which begins at 7:30 a.m. in the B.S. Roberts Room, is sponsored by T.D. Williamson, Tulsa Global Alliance, Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations, Tulsa Metro Chamber, the University of Tulsa and OSU-Tulsa.
Scharioth will discuss his views on the current economic situation in Germany and the European Union, the cooperation between nations, global climate conditions and the overall cultural climate since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Scharioth has been Germany's highest ranking representative to the American government since 2006. Joining him in Tulsa is Roland Herrmann, consul general for the German Foreign Missions Office in Houston, Texas, and Chuck Wiggin, the honorary consul general for Germany in Oklahoma.
