Monday, November 02, 2009OSU-Tulsa Wellness Center Speaker Series to Focus on Heart HealthFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETULSA (Nov. 2, 2009) – Heart health is the subject of the second installment in the OSU-Tulsa Wellness Center’s speaker series focused on health and wellness.
Lori Wills and Steve Henquinet will present “Primary Prevention Methods for Cardiovascular Disease” on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. in North Hall 116A. The event is free and open to OSU students, faculty and staff.
Wills and Henquinet are therapeutic exercise physiologists who specialize in cardiovascular health and fitness at the St. John Siegfried Health Club in Tulsa. They will discuss topics including high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, stress management, nutrition and physical activity.
The OSU-Tulsa Wellness Center launched the new speaker series in October in an effort to educate people about living an overall healthy lifestyle. Future educational programs will focus on topics such as nutrition, stress and time management, physical activity and weight management.
