Hispanic Student Association offers Qdoba for National Hispanic Heritage Month

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic Student Association at OSU-Tulsa will offer free food from Qdoba on Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.

During the month, the U.S. recognizes contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans and celebrates the group’s heritage and culture. Hispanic Heritage Month runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua celebrate their independence on Sept. 15. In addition, Mexico declared independence on Sept. 16, followed by Chile’s independence on Sept. 18 and Belize on Sept. 21.

The Hispanic Student Association promotes awareness of Hispanic culture and fosters the development of social and educational opportunities for Hispanic students at OSU-Tulsa. HSA encourages superior scholarships, promotes leadership opportunities for its members and participates in community activities that enhance the Hispanic tradition.
