Curriculum Studies Project hosts LSU researcher for lecture

Louisiana State University researcher Dr. Petra Munro Hendry will present the OSU Curriculum Studies Project Distinguished Lectureship on Friday, April 25 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in North Hall 150.

The co-director of the Curriculum Theory Project at LSU, Hendry will present, “Re-imagining Public Education: Democracy, Nation Building and the Louisiana Franco-Afro-Creole Protest Tradition.”

Hendry is the St. Bernard Chapter of the LSU Alumni Association Endowed Professor in the College of Education. She works with doctoral students, teaches courses in curriculum theory, curriculum history, oral history methodology and gender studies and is the author of “Engendering Curriculum History.”

The event is sponsored by the OSU Curriculum Studies Project, the OSU School of Teaching Curriculum Leadership and OSU-Tulsa.
