OSU-Tulsa to host High School Student Leadership Conference
Northeastern Oklahoma high school students will have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills during the second annual High School Student Leadership Conference on Saturday, April 26 at OSU-Tulsa. The conference is presented by the Higher Ed Forum of Oklahoma and is co-chaired by OSU College of Education faculty Dr. Denni Blum and Dr. Shanedra Nowell.
Tulsa community leaders, including former Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, Kate Richey with the Oklahoma Policy Institute, Kuma Brown with the Tulsa Regional Chamber and Heather Duncan with Community Action Project of Tulsa, will lead a variety of workshops during the conference. Topics will focus on leadership, service, youth activism, effective communication, relationship building and emotional intelligence.
