Carlozzi, Fullerton selected as 2014 graduation grand marshals

Dr. Al Carlozzi and Dr. Jami Fullerton have been chosen to lead the faculty and student procession as grand marshals during OSU-Tulsa’s 15th graduation ceremony on May 12.
Carlozzi, professor of counseling psychology, received the 2013 President's Outstanding Teaching Award from OSU-Tulsa. He completed his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Iona College, master’s degree in sociology at Trinity University and doctorate of education in counseling from the University of Houston. In addition to teaching graduate courses for the College of Education, Carlozzi is director of the OSU-Tulsa Counseling Center. His research interests include empathy, clinical supervision and adolescent resilience.
Fullerton, professor of advertising and the Peggy Layman Welch chair in strategic communications, was honored with the President's Outstanding Faculty Research Award from OSU-Tulsa in 2013. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma and continued her education at the University of North Texas for her master’s and doctorate. Fullerton teaches undergraduate strategic communications classes and graduate-level mass communication courses. As a researcher, Fullerton’s interests include cross-cultural communication, nation branding and advertising education.
OSU-Tulsa’s graduation ceremony begins with a concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Pavilion at Expo Square. Dr. Gary Trennepohl, OSU-Tulsa’s founding president, will serve as the keynote speaker.
