In honor of Sept. 11, OSU-Tulsa is encouraging students, faculty and staff to participate in the National Day of Service and Remembrance Volunteer Fair on Sept. 10-11 from 3-6 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.
“We are bringing in several organizations from across Tulsa that have volunteer opportunities for members of our campus community,” said Esmeralda Vega-Ramos, community relations and student development. “Our students, faculty and staff have demonstrated a commitment to the community and this event gives them the opportunity to learn about many different volunteer organizations here in Tulsa.”
Organizations participating in the fair include the American Cancer Society, Central Tulsa Library Adult Literacy Program, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, Iron Gate, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Volunteer Tulsa, Inc.
