OSU-Tulsa University Police visit Broken Arrow middle school
OSU-Tulsa Police Chief Melvin Murdock and Office Patrick Law spent Wednesday morning visiting with students in Candy Lievsay’s sixth grade class at Sequoyah Middle School in Broken Arrow.
Two members of the class sent letters to Law thanking him for his service to the community as part of a project to commemorate the anniversary of Sept. 11. The students each wrote thank you letters to area police officers, firefighters and paramedics thanking them for keeping the community safe.
During their visit, Murdock and Law answered questions about what it’s like to work as a police officer and gave the students a tour of an OSU-Tulsa police cruiser. Law also provided the students with plastic police badges.
