North Hall cooling tower upgrades begin Dec. 17
As part of the continuing energy conservation project underway at OSU-Tulsa, crews will begin installing a new energy efficient cooling tower in North Hall on Dec. 17. During this upgrade, those in North Hall, Administration Hall and the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium may notice temperatures that are warmer than usual
The OSU-Tulsa Physical Plant expects the project to be completed by Jan. 7. The upgrade was scheduled to begin after finals week to cause the least amount of disruption to students.
Plans are also underway for additional energy upgrades at OSU-Tulsa, including the installation of two energy efficient chillers and air handlers in Main Hall. OSU-Tulsa has contracted with Johnson Controls of Tulsa to complete work on the project, which began in November with upgrades to restrooms on campus, and is scheduled to be finished in April.
