African-American Student Association hosts Black History Month events
OSU-Tulsa's African-American Student Association will host a number of events on campus in honor of Black History Month.
A "Celebrate Black History Month" exhibit is on display in the North Hall Lobby through the February. The poster highlights the contributions of African-Americans to government, science and medicine.
A Taste of Soul is set for Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 3:30-5 p.m. in North Hall Lobby. Students, faculty and staff can sample various soul food cuisines including fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, sweet yams, collard greens, corn bread and peach cobbler. Monetary donations will be accepted and used for future AASA events.
The AASA will close Black History Month on March 1 with a Unity Mixer from 6-8 p.m. in the Tulsa Room. Students are invited to mingle with fellow classmates, play games and enjoy music and refreshments.
