OSU-Tulsa workshop focuses on benefits of graduate education
The Graduate Student Services Center at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa will host a special workshop on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in North Hall 150 for students interested in advancing their education with a graduate degree.
“Graduate Education: The Next Step” offers advice on applying for admission, tips for obtaining positive letters of recommendation and writing quality statements of purpose. Participants will learn about OSU-Tulsa’s graduate degree programs, get tips to prepare for entrance exams and receive step-by-step instructions on applying to the OSU Graduate College.
“The workshop offers students the opportunity to become acquainted with the steps necessary to get started on a graduate degree,” said Aaron T. Christensen, graduate student services manager. “This comprehensive presentation is an excellent resource for anyone considering pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, individuals with a master's degree earn an average 30 percent more annually than those with a bachelor's degree. OSU-Tulsa offers master's, doctoral and certificate programs in a variety of fields, including education, business, engineering and human services.
