OSU-Tulsa Wellness Week to include Open Houses

The OSU-Tulsa Wellness Center will host an Open House Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in North Hall 116. OSU students, faculty and staff can tour the facility, check out the cardiovascular equipment and weight machines and learn about the many services offered, including assessments, screenings and health education courses.

An Open House for the new OSU-Tulsa Health Clinic will take place Thursday, Feb. 4 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in North Hall 265. An advanced registered nurse practitioner and certified medical assistants are available to assist patients with general health care needs each Tuesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All current OSU-Tulsa students, faculty and staff are eligible for services at the clinic.

Financial Aid Awareness Week set for Feb. 1-4

OSU-Tulsa’s Financial Aid Awareness Week Feb. 1-4 will help students and their families learn about programs and scholarships available to help pay for a college education.

Representatives from OSU-Tulsa’s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will be in the North Hall Lobby from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer questions and provide information about completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and scholarship applications. The deadline for the 2010-2011 academic year is April 15.

Students may be eligible for financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, work-study employment or loan programs.

Information will also be offered about veterans scholarships and OSU scholarships in Tulsa and Stillwater, including scholarships available from individual academic departments.
