OSU-Tulsa Graduation Fair Set for
March 23

OSU Class RingOSU-Tulsa’s Graduation Fair is a one-stop-shop for spring and summer graduates. The fair is set for Tuesday, March 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby.

The event provides seniors and graduate students the opportunity to get everything they need to prepare for OSU-Tulsa’s Graduation Ceremony on Monday, May 10.

At the fair, students can check their status with Enrollment Services and complete their reservation card for the Graduation Ceremony. In addition, students can purchase caps and gowns and other important graduation items, such as personalized announcements, class rings and diploma frames.

Representatives from OSU’s Graduate Student Services Center, OSU-Tulsa’s Career Services, the OSU Alumni Association and OSU Foundation will also be on hand to provide information and resources to graduating students.

Nationally Known Educator to Headline Brock Symposium on Excellence in Education

CanadaThe OSU College of Education will host the 2010 Brock Symposium on Excellence in Education Thursday, March 25 at OSU-Tulsa.

The full day of presentations and breakout discussions begin at 9 a.m. Geoffrey Canada, this year’s winner of the Brock International Prize in Education, will be the keynote speaker. Canada is the creator of the Harlem Children’s Zone, a project that aims to support 10,000 children through educational, social and medial services.

Tickets for the event are $20 for professionals and $10 for students and lunch is included.

Employment Fair to Offer Resources to Women

The City of Tulsa Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and The Tulsa Women’s Foundation will present an Employment Resource Fair for Women on Tuesday, March 9 at OSU-Tulsa.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the North Hall Lobby. Area organizations will share opportunities for career counseling, education, job search, networking and business start-up. Session topics include résumé building, interviewing, business etiquette and image. For more information or to register, call 918-596-2461.
