OSU in Tulsa to Offer Free Health Fair

OSU’s Tulsa campuses will host a free health and wellness fair for the community on Thursday, April 22, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Main Hall Commons.

Fit for OSU. Fit for Tulsa.” will offer a variety of exhibits and activities related to personal health, including free vision and dental screenings, glucose testing, diabetic foot exams and osteopathic manipulative treatment. Free physical assessments will be offered for balance, body mass index, body fat, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility.

Participants may also register to win door prizes, sample a variety of healthy foods from local restaurants and take a tour of the OSU’s Mobile Telemedicine Clinic.

OSU-Tulsa Senior Awarded Jeltz Scholarship

Jeltz Scholarship PresentationOSU-Tulsa senior Dywren Oats was recently awarded a scholarship from the Wyatt F. and Mattie M. Jeltz Scholarship Foundation in Oklahoma City.

Oats is expected to graduate with two bachelor’s degrees in December 2010, one in business management and another in marketing. He works for St. John Medical Center.

OSU-Tulsa Faculty Spotlight

OSU-Tulsa’s Dr. Margaret A. White, associate professor of management in the Spears School of Business at OSU, will speak at the USSourceLink conference in Kansas City on April 21. USSourceLink is an integrated economic development system that connects aspiring, emerging and established small business owners to a wide network of business-building resource organizations. Dr. White played an integral role in launching SourceLink Tulsa.
