She has received numerous teaching awards including OSU-Tulsa’s Outstanding Faculty Award in 2007, the Outstanding Instruction Award in 2005 and the Outstanding MBA Professor Award in 2004.
Bowler, assistant professor of management, will be promoted to associate professor and granted tenure, the highest honor bestowed on a faculty member. He was awarded the Richard W. Poole Research Excellence Award in 2007 and has taught at OSU since 2006.
OSU-Tulsa Launches Silent Witness Program
OSU-Tulsa has launched “Silent Witness,” a new web-based program that provides the opportunity to anonymously report information about suspicious or criminal activity on campus.
University Police Chief Melvin Murdock said OSU-Tulsa experiences a consistently low crime rate and he believes the new program will help university police officers maintain a safe campus community. The program allows users to answer questions about suspicious behavior, crimes and other incidents, as well as the time and location and descriptions of persons involved.
