Prepare for your job search with a full calendar of career-related events
OSU-Tulsa’s Career Services will offer a full calendar of free events and workshops Jan. 18 through Feb. 16 to help students prepare for new jobs and internships.
Workshops will focus on topics such as job search strategies, job opportunities within the federal government and the benefits of using the HireOSUGrads.com “HIRE System.” Participants can also attend résumé critique sessions and mock interviews to improve their skills.
OSU-Tulsa’s spring career events will conclude with a Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Main Hall Commons.

OSU claims fourth straight win in annual Bedlam Canned Food Drive
Way to go, Cowboys! OSU claimed its fourth straight victory in the annual Bedlam Canned Food Drive benefitting the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
The friendly Bedlam battle between OSU and OU fans in Tulsa resulted in 7,206 total pounds in food donations and $1,942 in monetary donations. Cowboy fans scored 6,082 points, while Sooner fans scored 3,581 points. Points for each team included food items and monetary donations.
This year’s competition exceeded last year’s food donations of 6,187 total pounds. The donations will be used to support the 450 Partner Programs served by the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. The programs include emergency food pantries, after-school programs, senior citizens centers, soup kitchens and various shelters
Intramural sports kick off this month
OSU-Tulsa’s intramural sports offer a fun and competitive way to meet new students and get active. OSU-Tulsa is partnering with Tulsa Community College, OU-Tulsa and NSU-Broken Arrow to offer students a full schedule of events.
There are many sports leagues, tournaments and special competitions scheduled this spring, including dodge ball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, table tennis, badminton and more. Registration is now open. Sign up at the Wellness Center in North Hall 116 or in Student Services in North Hall 130.
MLK Day Parade to close main entrances to OSU-Tulsa Monday morning
Tulsa’s 24th annual MLK Commemorative Parade will begin at 11 a.m. near the main entrance of OSU-Tulsa at Detroit Avenue and John Hope Franklin Boulevard. The parade will proceed east through the OSU-Tulsa campus and Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to enter campus from the north on Greenwood Avenue as all other campus entrances will be closed. Parking will be available in Lot A or B.
