Workshops planned for those considering graduate school

Graduate Student Services PhotoOSU-Tulsa’s Graduate Student Services Center (GSSC) is hosting several workshops next week to help prepare prospective students for entrance exams and the transition to graduate school.

Workshops are planned for Monday through Thursday and topics include how to write an outstanding goals statement for an admissions application, preparing for graduate admissions tests and funding opportunities for graduate school. Visit the GSSC website for a complete schedule of events.

OSU-Tulsa’s Graduate Programs Showcase is scheduled for Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in North Hall 140. Information on applying to graduate school, education funding and specific admission and degree requirements will be available.

Dr. Matt Bowler, associate professor of management, will present “Successfully Navigating Your Graduate Career” on Thursday at noon in North Hall 140. Bowler will share strategies to help current and prospective graduate students enhance their experience at OSU.

President’s Luncheon to welcome TCC students

TCC LogoPresident Howard Barnett will host an annual President’s Luncheon for current Tulsa Community College students on Friday, March 25.

The event is designed to showcase the degree opportunities and services offered at OSU-Tulsa. The luncheon will include a session on financial aid and scholarship opportunities, a campus tour and information tables for several departments and services on campus.

FAST Forward bus to bring transit plan to OSU-Tulsa

Fast Forward BusThe Indian Nations Council of Governments will bring its Fast Forward bus and regional transit plan to OSU-Tulsa on Monday, March 21 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The 40-foot-long-bus is outfitted with information displays and a flat-screen television to educate residents on improving the metro area’s transit system and gather their ideas on possible transportation options including commuter rails, light rails, bus rapid transit, streetcars, express buses or conventional buses.
