Employee participation for “Branding Success” surpasses last year
OSU-Tulsa’s employee participation rate in OSU’s historic $1 billion “Branding Success” campaign is now at 74 percent, up from 65 percent at this time last year. OSU-Tulsa has a history of leading the OSU System in the percentage of faculty and staff who participate by donating money to the university’s annual fundraising campaign.
These gifts will make a big impact in OSU’s efforts to raise record private funds for scholarships, research and academic pursuits. The top campaign priority for OSU-Tulsa is student scholarships.

OSU-Tulsa to host conference on teen pregnancy prevention
OSU’s Center for Family Resilience will present “Preventing Teen Pregnancy Among Minority Youth: From Research to Practice” on June 23 at OSU-Tulsa as part of its “Closing the Gap” series.
The event will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Conference Center. Dr. Antonia Villarruel, professor and associate dean at the University of Michigan School of Nursing, will present the latest research on factors linked to increased risk for teen pregnancy and their implications for practitioners. She will also discuss ¡Cuídate! (or Protect Yourself!), a researched-based prevention program she has developed that is currently being disseminated nationally by the CDC as part of their Diffusion of Evidence Based Interventions program.
