OSU in Tulsa campuses to receive StormReady certification Wednesday
The National Weather Service will recognize OSU Center for Health Sciences and OSU-Tulsa as StormReady universities at a presentation ceremony on Wednesday.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the presentation at 3 p.m. in Founders Hall on the OSU-CHS campus. All are encouraged to wear orange to show their OSU Pride.
StormReady certified campuses have implemented equipment and policies recommended by the NWS to receive advance warning of a hazardous weather situation such as a tornado, flash flood or ice storm. Officials then initiate safety procedures for the campus community.
