Event showcases OSU in Tulsa student, faculty research efforts
OSU-Tulsa will host OSU in Tulsa Research Day on Wednesday, April 4 in the Helmerich Research Center from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will showcase OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences student and faculty research. Posters will be on display throughout the day, while oral presentations are scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1:45-3:30 p.m. Results will be announced at 3:45 p.m.
In conjunction with Research Day, Dr. Tom Buchanan will present a lecture on the establishment of interdisciplinary research related to biomedical engineering at the University of Delaware on Thursday, April 5 at 2 p.m. in the Helmerich Research Center.
Sample global cuisine at International Flavor Day
The OSU-Tulsa International Student Organization will host International Flavor Day on Wednesday, April 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in North Hall 140.
The annual event showcases the many different cultures of OSU-Tulsa’s international student population with food, beverages, music and cultural presentations.
Students, faculty and staff will be able to sample food and beverages from different cultures around the world. The event is free, with donations provided by Tulsa-area restaurants.
Alumni Chapter hosting Bedlam Baseball Tailgate Party
The Tulsa Chapter of the OSU Alumni Association will host a Tailgate Party for Bedlam Baseball on Friday, May 4, at ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa.
The cost is $31 and includes entrance into the tailgate, BBQ dinner and a reserved seat in the OSU section at the game. The tailgate opens at 5:30 p.m., with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Free parking is available at OSU-Tulsa.

Scrub Run set for April 14
The OSU Student Osteopathic Medicine Association is sponsoring the Scrub Run on Saturday, April 14 starting at OSU-CHS at 8 a.m.
The event features 10K and 5K races and a 1-mile fun run. Early entry fees for the race are $20 for the 5K and 10 K and $10 for the fun run. An additional $5 is charged for race day registration.
Registration packets can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports Tulsa. Register online to receive a discounted entry fee. Proceeds from the race go to support Lifeshare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.
Join the OSU in Tulsa Relay for Life team
OSU-Tulsa and OSU-CHS are teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on June 29. The 2012 Relay for Life of Tulsa will be held at ONEOK Field from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
