TCC President Thomas McKeon to speak at OSU-Tulsa Graduation
Dr. Thomas McKeon, Tulsa Community College president and an OSU graduate, will serve as the keynote speaker for OSU-Tulsa’s graduation ceremony on May 7 at 7 p.m. in The Pavilion at Expo Square.
McKeon joined TCC in 1980 as an instructor and has served in numerous administrative roles, including dean of instruction, provost of two campuses and executive vice president and chief operating office. He was named the third president and chief executive officer of TCC on July 1, 2004.
In 2007, McKeon was inducted into the OSU College of Education Hall of Fame. He has a Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnical State University and a Master of Science and doctorate from OSU.
Inside OSU with President Burns Hargis visits OSU-Tulsa
OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences President Howard Barnett hosted OSU President Burns Hargis for a tour of OSU-Tulsa. President Hargis also met with students and faculty to learn more about the research programs and student life at OSU-Tulsa.

President’s Luncheon welcomes TCC students to campus
President Howard Barnett hosted the annual President’s Luncheon for current Tulsa Community College students on Friday, March 30 in the Main Hall Commons.
President Barnett was also joined by Confidence Omenai, a TCC alumnae and OSU-Tulsa liberal studies major, and Brandon Rhoads, a TCC and OSU-Tulsa alumnus, to highlight the value of pursuing a degree at OSU-Tulsa.
The event showcased degree opportunities and services offered at OSU-Tulsa. The luncheon also provided TCC students the opportunity to ask questions about financial aid and scholarships, take a campus tour and meet with representatives from many of the departments and services on campus.
Tulsa Drillers home opener April 12 at ONEOK Field
The Tulsa Drillers open the 2012 regular season at ONEOK Field Thursday, April 12 against the San Antonio Missions at 7:05 p.m. The opener kicks off a six-game home stand for the Drillers.
The Opening Night Parade kicks off at 6:15 p.m. at OETA Tulsa across from OSU-Tulsa.
Drillers fans are permitted to park at OSU-Tulsa for Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday games. No fan parking is allowed Monday through Thursday.
OSU-Tulsa teams with Verizon to collect used cellular phones for Hopeline
As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, OSU-Tulsa is partnering with Verizon to collect used cellular phones for HopeLine, a project that provides victims of domestic violence with wireless phones.
Since the program was launched in 2001, Verizon has collected more than 9 million phones at locations across the country. These phones are refurbished and provided to local domestic violence organizations to distribute. The phones offer a way to contact emergency or support services, employers, family and friends.
Used cell phones can be donated at the Information Center in the North Hall Lobby through the end of April.
