OSU-Tulsa career fair offers opportunity to meet potential employers
OSU students and alumni will have the opportunity to meet representatives from companies hiring for part-time, full-time and internship positions at the OSU-Tulsa Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 11.
The Career Fair, which offers opportunities for students in all majors, will take place from 2-4 p.m. in the Main Hall Commons. Participants should come professionally dressed, bring résumés and be prepared to meet potential employers.
Participants can also have a free digital photo taken for use on professional websites, blogs and social networking sites like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
OSU-Tulsa to join “America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration”
OSU-Tulsa’s Campus Life with host a Homecoming Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 3-4:30 p.m. by the Courtyard Fountain.
Campus Life will be passing out free hot dogs from The Dog House with live music performed by Steve Liddell.
The event is in conjunction with “America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration” in Stillwater on Saturday, Oct. 20 when the Cowboys take on Iowa State. This year’s theme, “The Life, The Legend, The Legacy,” is a chance to honor homecomings past, present and future.

Submissions sought for Creative Writing Contest
Can you twist with creative flourish? Do you have a knack for storytelling? Does your prose poetry delight your friends? Then consider entering the sixth annual OSU-Tulsa Creative Writing Contest.
The contest is open to all currently enrolled students at OSU-Tulsa, with prizes awarded for poetry and short story entries. Poetry entries should consist of three original poems of any length and short stories should be no more than 20 pages in length.
Students can fill out a submission form at the OSU-Tulsa Creative Writing Contest website through Nov. 21. Only one entry per student per category will be accepted.

Stay safe online and help OSU win Bedlam Battle Security Edition
As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, OSU and the University of Oklahoma are competing to keep people informed about online computer safety.
Over the next three weeks, students, faculty and staff will receive a security bulletin with a short, fun and informative video about how to protect yourself while online.
All you have to do to participate is read the helpful security tips and watch each week’s video. At the end of the three weeks, the school with the largest percentage of video views wins.
