This basic course is appropriate for supervisors new to the OSU System or anyone new to supervision of others. It covers why performance reviews are important and who is responsible for what. It also encourages consistency within the process by discussing in-depth the five ratings that are used to evaluate employees' performance. You will be coached in how to give effective feedback, how to handle the "tough" ones and how to prepare for employee reactions. This seminar fulfills the performance review training requirement for supervisors.

This class will review the basics of FMLA that supervisors need to know to comply with the law.
