Emerging Leaders Program

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program is a six-workshop series designed for high-performing faculty and staff who show high leadership potential and do not currently have supervisory or management responsibilities. This certificate program increases participants’ effectiveness as leaders in their current roles, strengthens their ability to contribute to OSU and their respective department and prepares them for tomorrow’s leadership challenges. Workshops will be taught by HR staff, OSU in Tulsa managers and OSU faculty.

The program's objective is to provide potential future leaders of higher education the opportunity to reflect and determine the most compelling leadership style conducive for their professional growth. Focus areas are character development, communication skills, the ability to put people first, use of ethics, critical thinking and collaboration.

Participants must attend all meetings.  If a participant misses more than one session, they will be automatically dropped from the program and will be required to provide written description as to why they should be allowed to enroll for another ELP session.

ELP is offered every other year. Watch your OSU email, The Center and The Current for information about upcoming sessions and application deadlines.
