OSU-Tulsa Announces Faculty Promotions and Tenure

TULSA –The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents recently approved promotions in academic rank for OSU-Tulsa professors Jami Fullerton, Stacy Takacs and Joel Harper.
“We are very pleased and proud to recognize these outstanding professors for their well-deserved promotions," said OSU-Tulsa President Gary Trennepohl. “Their high-quality teaching, research and commitment to student success are to be commended and congratulated.”
Fullerton, who will be promoted from associate professor to full professor, will become the first appointment to the Peggy Layman Welch Chair in Journalism. Dr. Fullerton’s instruction focuses on advertising campaigns, media and marketing strategy, principles of marketing and principles of advertising. Her research interests include cross-cultural communication and gender portrayal in advertising.
Takacs, assistant professor of English, will be promoted to associate professor and granted tenure, the highest honor bestowed on a faculty member. Dr. Takacs’ research and instruction focus on contemporary American literature and culture, American cultural studies, television studies, media and globalization.
Harper, assistant professor of finance, will be promoted to associate professor. Dr. Harper specializes in corporate finance, international financial management and financial research methods. His research interests are privatization and tracking stock.
