Educational Psychology, M.S.

Educational psychology is concerned with all aspects of psychology that are relevant to education, in particular, with the specific areas of study including human development and learning and gifted education. The role of educational psychology is to bring together theory and research from psychology and related disciplines in order to facilitate healthy human development and effective learning and teaching.

The Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology offers three areas of emphasis; both should be viewed as applied programs that define capabilities, knowledge, skills and competencies of the graduate. These competencies focus on the human learner in educational situations. This high-level applied degree program prepares the graduate to perform effectively as professionals in schools and related educational settings.
