The graduate certificate in human resource management is designed to complement the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) competency model. These competencies are meant to “provide the foundation for talent management throughout the HR lifecycle” (shrm.org), and the graduate certificate program focuses on competencies such as: communication, ethical practice, HR expertise, and critical evaluation deemed important by SHRM for performance and career advancement.
