OSU in Tulsa is Going Green for a Brighter Orange

In an effort to reduce energy consumption on each of its five campuses, Oklahoma State University implemented an Energy Education Program in 2007, under the guidance of Energy Education, Inc. Energy Managers have been working to develop a people-oriented energy management program at each of the OSU campuses. Learn more about OSU's energy conservation program.

PepsiCo Dream Machine

energy starDream Machines provide students, faculty, staff and campus visitors with a convenient and rewarding way to recycle their plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Machines are located near the vending machines in the Main Hall Commons and second floor in North Hall.

OSU-Tulsa Earns Energy Star for Energy Efficiency

energy starOSU-Tulsa has been named an ENERGY STAR partner for its efforts to protect the environment and cut utility costs through energy efficient practices.

Energy best practices

  • Turn off lights in empty rooms such as bathrooms, break rooms, classrooms, study rooms, meeting rooms, offices and copy rooms.
  • Shut down computers in offices, classrooms, or other areas when finished. Also turn off the monitor, speakers and printersl.
  • Turn off any appliances not in use such as TVs, stereos, coffee pots, fans, radios, chargers and classroom projectors.
