Miller to participate in lecture about Oklahoma authors

The OSU Center for Oklahoma Studies will host Teresa Miller, executive director of the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers at OSU-Tulsa, at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the OSU-Stillwater Library for its annual Oklahoma Ovation lecture. The lecture commemorates Statehood Day, Nov. 16.

Mary Larson, Oklahoma oral history research program director, will interview Miller about Oklahoma authors, past and present, and what it means to have an “Oklahoma voice.” Miller will also discuss issues of cultural and literary identity. The lecture will end with a question and answer session.

An author herself, Miller has worked with a number of Oklahoma writers since founding the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers in 1994. She is the executive director and host of the television program Writing Out Loud.
