The Oklahoma State University-Tulsa Health Education and Promotion department will host an open house on Friday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in North Hall 116A to showcase the program.
“The field of health education and promotion continues to grow as more people begin to realize the importance and benefits of preventative health care, exercise and a healthy lifestyle,” said Dr. Amy Bowersock, clinical assistant professor of applied health and education psychology. “Graduates of our program find careers in wellness centers, hospital-based fitness centers, out-patient centers, community and corporate health, medical supplies and pharmaceutical sales, while others begin graduate programs in medicine, physical therapy, public health or pharmacy.”
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with current students and faculty, tour the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Health and Human Performance Lab and the OSU-Tulsa campus, speak with a financial aid counselor and learn about OSU admission requirements.
The open house is free and guests are welcome. Register for the open house by Feb. 4 at orange.okstate.edu/register/HEPOpenHouse. For more information, contact Prospective Student Services at 918-594-8355 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
