Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin recently announced the appointment OSU-Tulsa alumna Tracy Hammon to a five-year term on the Oklahoma Environmental Quality Board.
The Oklahoma Legislature established the board to provide guidance to the Department of Environmental Quality. Board members have a variety of backgrounds including manufacturing, waste management, agricultural and conservation. Members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate.
Hammon is the manager of industrial hygiene and toxicology for Phillips 66. She received a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a master's degree in environmental health from Colorado State University and a doctorate in environmental science from OSU-Tulsa.
