OSU in Tulsa wins top marketing campaign award at OCPRA competition

Oklahoma State University in Tulsa Marketing and Communications Services was honored for the Get There From Here marketing campaign at the annual Oklahoma College Public Relations Association conference in Quapaw.

Get There From Here received first place in the campaign category at the awards competition, which featured entries from public and private higher education institutions across Oklahoma. The campaign includes advertisements, videos, brochures, radio spots, billboards and websites.

The OSU in Tulsa team earned a total of nine awards, including three first place, three second place and three third place honors. In addition to the campaign, OSU in Tulsa also received first place in multimedia for the OSU-Tulsa Get There From Here Graduation multimedia presentation and in traditional poster design for the OSU-Tulsa Energy Conservation Program poster.

OSU in Tulsa received second place awards in mobile apps or website for OSUinTulsa.com, holiday cards for the OSU-Tulsa president’s holiday card and logo design for the OSU-Tulsa 15th Anniversary logo. The team took third place in cover design for the OSU-Tulsa Graduation program cover, radio spots for “Visit Your OSU-Tulsa Academic Advisor” and the square peg category for the OSU in Tulsa energy conservation recycled coasters.

With 704 submissions in 38 categories, OCPRA set a record for the largest number of entries in the awards competition with an average of 19 entries per category. Judges for the competition are selected from out-of-state public relations and communications professionals not associated with the organization.

Accepting the awards on behalf of OSU in Tulsa were Dr. Mary Bea Drummond, assistant vice president for Marketing and Communications Services and member of the OCPRA board of directors, Jamie Edford, web manager, Ryan Jensen, graphic designer, and Sean Kennedy, communications manager.
