Transfer Days offer opportunity for future OSU-Tulsa students to enroll in classes, learn about financial aid

Andrew Lal learns about OSU-Tulsa during Transfer Day last fall.

Oklahoma State University-Tulsa is offering a special opportunity for prospective students to complete enrollment for the spring semester during two daylong events.

Transfer Days are set for Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 15 in OSU-Tulsa’s North Hall 130. Advising, admissions, enrollment and financial aid services will be available from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. each day, except for a one-hour break from 1-2 p.m.

“Transfer Days offer prospective students a convenient time to meet with representatives from each of our academic services offices without needing to schedule an appointment,” said Susan Tolbart, director of OSU-Tulsa Academic Services and Recruitment. “Students transferring to OSU-Tulsa also will be able to learn about financial aid and scholarships and obtain other information for a smooth transition.”

During the event, prospective students may meet with academic counselors, learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities, enroll in classes and find out about transfer credits for the spring semester.

Prospective students are encouraged to submit an OSU admission application, official transcripts and an application fee at least two weeks in advance of Transfer Days to be able to enroll during the event. To apply online, go to https://admissions.okstate.edu/apply.

In addition, prospective students are reminded to submit a 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible for priority consideration for grants, work-study and scholarships. To submit a FAFSA, visit the Federal Student Aid website at https://fafsa.ed.gov/. The OSU-Tulsa federal school code is 003170.

Academic counselors will be available on Dec. 15 in North Hall 130 to speak to prospective students who would like more information about OSU-Tulsa before making the decision to transfer.

For more information, contact OSU-Tulsa Advisement and Prospective Student Services at 918-584-8355 or by email at tulsa.info@okstate.edu. Walk-ins are welcome but students may save time by registering online ahead of the event. Registration is available at http://www.osu-tulsa.okstate.edu/main/transferday.php.
