The OSU-Tulsa Library will offer two free workshops this spring on ‘Library Research and Critical Thinking.’ The workshops are aimed at helping undergraduate and graduate students save valuable time and find the right information when writing a research paper, thesis or dissertation.
“Beyond Google” sessions are set for 5 p.m. on Feb. 14 and Feb. 21. “Digging Deeper” sessions are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 and March 6. Attendance at both sessions of each workshop is recommended, but not required. All sessions will be in the OSU-Tulsa Library Instruction Lab, which is located in Main Hall.
Participants will learn basic to advanced search techniques and how to use specialized search engines and academic databases. Participants may also bring assignments or research topics to use while exploring search strategies and learning to refine searches to focus on specific information.
